Day 21 - Sept. 4, 2008

Huge apologies to all that received my email today and ended up receiving countless emails from me.
First of all the blog URL was changed and then the Somerset spam provider couldn't deal with the number of addresses on my group email.

If you are reading this, you have the new URL.
Erkki had his second good day in a row. No fever, shakes or shivers.
We hope that the new antibiotics will keep those side effects at bay.
Erkki's mouth is sore but he is eating well and has enough energy to walk around the 15th floor a few times a day.
He looks great after his buzz cut yesterday!

Hey Tach
Sorry to screw it up! I misspelled Erkki and I thought he would tear out the rest of his hair if he saw that!
Glad to hear he had a good day.
love
Tom

Glad to hear that Erkki is hanging in there. Good idea to have a blog so we can all keep in touch with you both!

Serves him right for having a name that no-one knows how to spell. Why can't he have a "normal" name like Tachy, Skee, Geza, Yen, or Gerd?

Good to hear you're doing much better, Erkki (sp?). Yen and I look forward to coming to visit once you feel up to hearing how hard we worked all summer and how little time we spent smelling the (wet) roses.

Hey Tach & Erkki,
What a brilliant idea! (And, Tach, you broke all world records for sending the most emails at one time yesterday too. Aren't you talented.)Erkki, I bet you look divine in the new buzz. David Beckham eat your heart out.

Talk later alligators!
love Steph

Hi Erkki and Tach,

Great to hear the E-man has had a good couple of days! Hope the weekend continues in that vein. We are thinking about you and send warm vibes from the West Coast. Keep strong and fight with all your might!
I know you will make it back to good health soon! All the best and big hugs from Kathy

Tach and Erkki,

I just wrote a very eloquent and long email but messed up in the process and lost the whole thing, so this time I will be brief... until I get the hang of this. Now that you are sporting a new dew, you might be inspired to form a band called the "Fevers" and write a song called "Shiver and Shake". That sounds a little better than "Sore Mouth". Aren't you happy Tachy discovered this new technology Erkki!

See you in a couple days.
Karen

Hi Tachy and Erkki,
Glad to hear you feel a little bit better, Erkki. Finally you are getting an up-to-date haircut!
The tennis is over, what are you watching on TV next? I'm glad Federer won, he is such an elegant player to watch. But Murray was amazing too. Who would have thought that fit Nadal could have off days too?! May be the fighting spirit of those guys is edging you on to fight the little buggers in your blood!!! Bon chance!

Hey guys!

Erkki, I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better as maybe now you won't be a morphine addict in your old age. It would be so unseemly. Tach, that's great Jonathon's here. Are Erkki's kids still here as well? It must be a bloody party everyday in that ward with all those wild and crazy young people running around. And morphine flowing. And Tachy juggling -- everything! All the best guys.Sending much love and goo your way. xoxo Steph
