Erkki's blood counts continue to go up which means his own body is helping to fight his infection, along with 4 antibiotics.
Less pain tonight, but he is still asking for morphine so the Betty Ford Clinic is next.
Tomorrow he will have a relatively quick surgical procedure which may not be fun at the time, but will provide some relief.
The dreaded gout has returned in both feet and hand, but let's hope that doesn't get as bad as last time.
We decided right at the beginning of this that we must laugh every day. Tonight we had several, and each one is a gift!

Erkki – you are a warrior! So, I decided to do a search on Norse and/or Finnish warriors. (They say that looking things up on the Internet helps “middle-aged” brains stay healthy...) The best I could come up with was Tyr, who, according to Wikipedia, is the god of single combat and heroic glory in Norse mythology. (Tyr also happens to be the brand name of my swim cap, but that's another story.) Tyr was known for his great honesty and COURAGE. You’ll find an image of him at: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7a/IB_299_4to_Tyr.jpg
Keep fighting!
