I remember Erkki when he first joined TEDCO. I knew right away when he came for his first interview that he would be our next president. His wonderful smile and winning personality was a welcome presents.

I am glad I had the opportunity to work with Erkki and although he will be missed he will be remembered by all who knew him including me.

My condolenses to the family.

Sincerely,

Bernice Belward

To Tachy and family:
Like last year, I am doing the PMH Ride to Conquer Cancer from Toronto to Niagara Falls in June. This year, it's for Erkki's memory and the cure.
My best wishes, Peter Turner

I am stunned!!! My shame that I didn't even know that he was ill...he was always so full of life and an active sportsman. There are no words to express my condolences to you, Tachy, Jenn, Markus and Tammie. My Jenn sent me an e-mail today with the news and we both plan to attend the Celebration of Life at RCYC.
Errki was a man who touches your life and leaves a legacy, a part of him, that will remain with you forever. I am so sad but know the Errki will be sailing and playing squash with the angels.

Hola Tachy:

Just wanted to let you know that Erkki's obituary portrayed him as the wonderful & kind hearted man that he always was. Also, the accompanying photo captures his love of life.

We'll miss him terribly, but will think of him often, whether it is on the tennis court, sharing a glass of vino or some good laughs.

Basil & I will be at Erkki's celebration of life at the RCYC next Thursday evening. Looking forward to seeing you.

All the best,
Carol Lawlor

Hi Tachy. As others have said so eloquently, Erkki was a valued friend and colleague to so many. Stephen and I had the pleasure and honour of knowing him as both.

Love to you and your family.

Tachy, I'm so sorry to hear about Erkki's death. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him, he was a wonderful gentle man with a permanent smile. My regards to you and his children and families. He obviously died a good death surrounded by those he loved and who loved him - what else can we ask.
