A Fitting Tribute!

Thanks to all of you who helped make the evening such a success. We all so appreciated giving and receiving what seemed like a million hugs.

A big thank you to Markus Pukonen and Christopher Yapp for putting together the wonderful slide show.

Yesterday we said goodbye to Erkki by releasing a Viking ship into Lake Ontario. Some of you might have noticed the ship on the table when you signed the guest book on Thursday night. Details and pictures will be posted on the blog in a day or two.

Just had a chance to watch the video and am so glad you posted it. Kudos to all who put it together! It really illustrates how Erkki personified the "life well lived" motto ... it's obvious why there are so many who feel a void right now. We really enjoyed the celebration of his life and unique "farewell" on Thursday and Friday. Very memorable and touching. We feel privileged to have shared it with you.

Much love to all of you.

Thank you so much for posting the video; I have just watched it again (and shed a few more tears). Well done, Christopher and Markus!

Thank you also for including us in the Celebration of Erkki's Life and the events of yesterday. It was such an honour to be there.

Jenny, Tamsin and Markus: Although we were meeting, for the first time, in difficult circumstances, it was such a pleasure to meet you, as well as Dylan and Ocea. You are so lovely and do your father, mother and Tachy proud. I hope that we meet again.

Jonathan and Christopher: It was so nice to see you again; I hope that it isn't 17 years until we next meet.

Last, but certainly not least, Tachy, Ian and Philip: Thank you for your usual grace, warmth and hospitality. Take good care of yourselves and please give Beebe a big hug for me. I love you all so much.
